Remembering:

Peter Paponette

Posted on: April 14th, 2023

VICTIM’S NAME: Peter Paponette, Died 2016-10-16 AGE:33

AUTHOR OF STORY: Michelle Ablack-Paponette / Wife

My story began a night in October. My husband left to go with some relatives on a small adventure. Later that night I was awakened by a knock at my door, eventually informing  me that there was an accident involving my husband. Finding out that he had died, I headed for the crash site. Seeing my husband tangled in the vehicle, left me in shock.

It’s been seven years since then. The grief has subsided, but the despair has not disappeared. However, thanks to Arrive Alive, I was able to traverse this past seven years with some of my sanity. I’d like to give a big thank you to all the members of  Arrive Alive, you have made these years bearable, and I was able to move forward.

To all drivers you are carrying someone’s world in your car! Please don’t shatter it.
