Pooran Coon Coon

Posted on: April 14th, 2023

VICTIM’S NAME: Pooran Coon Coon, Died 2020-12-10 AGE:59

AUTHOR OF STORY: Nowlie Coon Coon / Wife

On the 10th of December 2020, my husband and father of our two children, ages 24 and 27, was on his way to work at 5:00am. A popular contractor’s truck and trailer was parked on the roadway in the vicinity of St. Augustine Private Hospital. To the best of my knowledge there was no indication of adequate lighting reflectors or cones to provide sufficient visibility. The illumination of  a parked vehicle is critical as it informs drivers of the need to go around it with a slightly greater lateral distance. Lights on a parked vehicle determines the size of it and, also helps to identify it.

My husbands’ vehicle ran under the trailer, and he died on impact. He was the sole breadwinner in the family, and we were a close knit family. We miss him every day! The pain was made all the more unbearable with how the accident and situation was handled. We are still to receive justice for my husband’s death. Only God gives the strength.
