A safe driver is one who:
- Pays attention
- Does not speed
- Does not drive impaired
- Wears a seatbelt
- Ensures his passengers also buckles up front & back
- Drives defensively
- Is well rested
- Respects other vulnerable road users like cyclists, pedestrians and motor cyclists
A safe driver also:
- Gives way
- Does not run red lights
- Stops on the amber light
- Does not drive while angry or upset

- Does not drive over the speed limit
- Only overtakes on the right hand lane
- Stays in the left hand lane unless overtaking
- Obey the traffic laws
