VICTIM’S NAME: Aftab Brian Ali, Died: 2021-03-16 AGE:33
On March 16th, 2021, our lives took a turn for the worst when our dear cousin who was more like a brother lost his life in an accident near Charlieville on the North Bound Lane to avoid hitting a pedestrian who was crossing the highway. He was avoiding hitting the pedestrian, in doing so, he swerved which caused the van to flip seven times on the highway. There were also two of his co-workers in the vehicle with him that were injured. Sadly, our beloved Aftab was the only one losing his life on that day.
Upon arrival to the scene, we were faced with the gruesome and heart-wrenching sight of the lifeless body of our beloved Aftab. To think that this was all caused by a pedestrian crossing the highway is very disturbing. What brings comfort to our family is that we know his soul will always rest in eternal peace and the heavenly abode of God.
It must be mentioned that Arrive Alive’s annual commemoration for the families of road traffic victims also does a great deal in helping us all to never forget our lost loved ones and stand together to do our part in highlighting road safety.
A message to all those who would have lost someone special in such a tragic way, their souls will always be at peace and resting eternally. Stay strong and remember you are never alone!
