Who is Arrive Alive?
Arrive Alive is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation that was founded in 2005. As a road safety NGO, we lobby for safer drivers, safer roads and safer vehicles. We are dedicated to saving lives and preserving lifestyles. Our main goal is to highlight the high levels of road deaths and what steps are needed to improve road safety, thereby reducing injuries and deaths.
Our collective effort has resulted in a gradual decline in the number of serious road traffic collisions, injuries and fatalities over the years.
How is Arrive Alive funded?
The work of our NPO is fully funded by private donations. It is through the generous support of private corporations and foundations that we have been able to accomplish our initiatives.
What is our mission?
To advocate for better road traffic management systems and to support and educate the various stakeholders on the complex issues of road safety through inter-agency collaboration and intervention and to positively impact the behaviour of all road users so as to preserve lifestyles and save lives.
What is our vision?
Keeping families together with ZERO injuries and ZERO fatalities.
How does Arrive Alive support road traffic victims?
Part of our mission is to support families coping with the trauma of losing a loved one. We offer both psychological and material aid. If needed, we help grieving relatives access a licensed therapist. We also give support in the form of groceries for a period of time.
Also, by means of our website’s Wall of Memories feature we give family members an opportunity to tell their story, thereby keeping the memory of their loved one alive.
