World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is a worldwide event that draws attention to the tragedy of loss experienced because of road traffic deaths. It is an opportunity to remember those who are lost, support their loved ones and advocate for safer road systems that benefit all road users.
Both 2022 and 2023’s theme focused on “Justice”. We are highlighting the need for investigation after a crash to find out if a crime was committed and to prevent recurrence, criminal prosecution where appropriate and civil compensation for those affected.
Features of this event include:
- Free Solidarity walk and Cycling ride
- Traffic Village featuring booths from private and public stakeholder organizations
- A private Brunch for road traffic victims and their loved ones
