UN Decade of Action for Road Safety Launch

Posted on: April 15th, 2011

Arrive Alive hosted a Pre-Launch for the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety at the Jaffa restaurant, Oval, on Wednesday, February 2nd 2011 where stakeholders, specifically members of the T&T Government, were presented.  We presented the Five Pillars of Road Safety and the Road Safety Management System in the hope that our Government would form a National Road Safety Council.

The Honourable Minister Jack Warner, Minister of Works & Transport, addressed the meeting, as well as Mr Brent Batson, the President of Arrive Alive.  Commissioners of Police Dwayne Gibbs, Jack Ewaski, ACP Wayne Richards and Transport Commissioner Ruben Cato amongst several other Ministers and Permanent Secretaries and representatives of corporate Trinidad & Tobago were present.

Packages of documents outlining the responsibilities of each direct stakeholder of road safety were subsequently delivered to each ministry, and law enforcement agency by hand by our offices, in the hope of follow up by our leaders.
