World Day of Remembrance 2023 for traffic victims

Gear up for the annual World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims Walk and Ride on Sunday 19th November, 2023. This year’s ride promises to be loaded with excitement as cyclists from West, East, Central and South Trinidad converge on the Queen’s Park Savannah.

Rides will kick off from 6:00am at the following starting points:

  • West: Queen’s Park Savannah to Piarco (roundtrip)
  • East: Larry Gomes Stadium to Queen’s Park Savannah (roundtrip)
  • South/ Central: National Cycling Velodrome to Queen’s Park Savannah (roundtrip)

Interested in a shorter ride? We’ve got you covered. Novice cyclists are invited to the Queen’s Park Savannah to participate in a solidarity ride.

Loved ones of road Traffic Victims are also not to be forgotten. They are invited to join the solidarity Walk from 7:00am at the Queen’s Park Savannah. They would also be treated to brunch and entertainment.

An additional feature of this event will be our fun Traffic Village where visitors can explore various aspects of road safety, enjoy live demonstrations and win prizes.

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is a worldwide event that draws attention to the tragedy of loss experienced as a result of road traffic deaths. It is an opportunity to remember those lost, support their loved ones and advocate for safer road systems that benefit all road users.
