Leah Annan, died 2014-05-11, 20 years old

Leah was a bubbly and cheerful child and naturally everyone gravitated to her. On May 11^th, 2014 (Mother’s Day), Leah visited me at home at around 4pm and after hugging and telling me how much she loved me, she left at around 8:00pm. At around 10:30pm that night, I received a call that she was involved in an accident on the Eastern Main Road in Arouca. I did not make much of it, however my heart began to sink when I observed a lot of similarity with the scene at the hospital. My daughter died before I arrived at the hospital that night. It was revealed that the car in which she was the front seat passenger was being driven by her boyfriend recklessly with him overtaking a line of cars before colliding with another vehicle head on. The doctor indicated to me that she was non- responsive when she arrived at the hospital which indicated that she died at the scene.
