UN World Day of Remembrance for Traffic Victims

Since November 2010, ARRIVE ALIVE has participated in the Annual UN World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. This annual event is held to remember and recognize all loved ones lost on our nation’s roads. We continue to receive sponsorship from companies with active corporate social responsibility initiatives and BHP Billiton has been the Gold Sponsor of this event since 2014. ARRIVE ALIVE also partnered with Share the Road (NGO for cyclists’ road safety) and, in 2014 and 2015, over 200 cyclists came out to ride in support of road safety. Many of our stakeholders also participated, including the T&T Automobile Association, the TTPS, the Ministry of Works & Transport with their traffic display, the Traffic Wardens and the Trinidad & Tobago Fire and Ambulance services.
