UNDER CHAGUANAS FLYOVERMark Daly was also a devoted family man, he was a son and a brother to three sisters and one brother, a fiancée, a father, a God father, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, a true friend and a brother to many. He attended University of Trinidad and Tobago where he was pursuing a Bachelors degree in Sports Studies. Daly prolifically served as an ambassador to the sport of Volleyball. He proudly captained both Trinidad and Tobago National Junior and Senior Men Teams for over ten years and was the recipient of the WITCO Volleyball Sportsman of the Year in 1999. Daly was a member of Rockets, Glamorgans and Technocrats Sports Club. He was a passionate Coach at the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs.

He was a man who gave selflessly to his club, country and community Sadly on November 19th 2009 at the Chaguanas flyover saw the untimely passing of Mark Daly. No-one knows exactly what happened on that day but I plead to all drivers, be careful on the road don’t just drive for you but drive for everyone else on the road. Mark leaves a one year old daughter who he never got to spend her first Christmas. With our strong faith in God and our guardian angel, his family continues to pray for all those who lost their lives and we pray for safety on the roads. God Bless everyone….
